Yesterday, Wave #01 of Devcon tickets sold out just a few minutes after going online! After two years of anticipation, the whole team awaited this moment with curious suspense. But don’t worry, more ticket waves are coming soon.

Today we are excited to announce the return of the Devcon Scholars Program, an EF initiative to help critical Ethereum builders overcome obstacles to attend Devcon. Read below to find out if the Devcon Scholars Program is for you, and to get information on how to apply.

Additionally, we’re happy to announce the first events happening around Devcon in Bogotá, making Devcon more than just a 4-day conference but a whole Devcon Week experience.

Devcon Week comprises Ethereum-related events happening around the official conference days of 11-14 October. In homage to the decentralized organization of Devconnect, Devcon Week starts with an EthGlobal hackathon, ends with a community co-working space, and will feature events like Schellingpoint and ETH Latam Day. We’ll release more events on the Devcon Week schedule in the coming weeks!*

*This schedule doesn’t include the many community events, meetups, and social gatherings that will happen around Devcon. So expect another page coming soon that will include more on events run by the wider Ethereum community.

The Devcon Scholars Program Returns

We are pleased to announce the return of The Devcon Scholars Program!

If your attendance in Devcon VI could make a difference in the future of Ethereum, and you’re otherwise not able to attend due to cost, please apply for the Scholars Program between today and August 1st.

Devcon is the ultimate place for the builders and collaborators and it’s also an opportunity to bring new faces, places and entire communities into the fold. However, some critical builders in the Ethereum ecosystem face obstacles to attending Devcon (monetary or otherwise).

The Devcon Scholars Program provides full support to make Devcon more accessible for 50 individuals who have the potential to make a big impact on Ethereum and its community, but are unable to attend without assistance, monetary or otherwise. Scholars will receive Devcon tickets, funding for transportation, accommodation, per diem and visa application. Leading up to Devcon and during the Devcon Week, there will be online and in-person meetings for Scholars to get to know each other, to learn, and to prepare for the best experience in Bogotá, Colombia.

Applications are OPEN

The Devcon Scholars Program is for you if you believe your attendance in Devcon would make a difference on the future of Ethereum. We want Devcon Bogotá to be a hub of Ethereum innovation, and for that to happen, we need the most talented builders in our ecosystem to be there, regardless of their circumstances.

Whether you are a builder, entrepreneur, community organizer, journalist, teacher, researcher, or student, if you believe that your attendance in Devcon would make a difference in the future of Ethereum, please let us know how you plan to leverage the opportunity by filling out this application. The deadline to submit is August 1st, 2022.

Note: Applicants can be any age and should be able to communicate in English.

Ayer, la Ola #01 de entradas para la Devcon se agotó a los pocos minutos de ponerse en línea. Tras dos años de anticipación, todo el equipo esperaba este momento con expectativa. Pero no te preocupes, pronto habrá más olas para comprar de entradas.

Hoy estamos emocionados de anunciar el regreso del Programa Devcon Scholars, una iniciativa de la EF para ayudar a los constructores esenciales de Ethereum a superar los obstáculos para asistir a la Devcon. Lee a continuación para saber si el Programa de Scholars es para ti, y obtener información sobre cómo participar.

Además, nos complace anunciar los primeros eventos que tendrán lugar alrededor de la Devcon en Bogotá, haciendo de la Devcon algo más que una conferencia de 4 días, sino toda una experiencia de la Semana Devcon.

La Semana Devcon comprende eventos relacionados con Ethereum que tendrán lugar alrededor de los días oficiales de la conferencia, del 11 al 14 de octubre. En homenaje a la organización descentralizada de Devconnect, la Devcon Week comienza con una hackathon de EthGlobal y termina con un espacio de co-working de la comunidad. También contará con eventos como el Schellingpoint y el ETH Latam Day. En las próximas semanas publicaremos más eventos en el calendario de la Semana Devcon.*

El programa Devcon Scholars regresa

Nos complace anunciar el regreso del programa Devcon Scholars.

Si tu asistencia a la Devcon VI podría marcar la diferencia en el futuro de Ethereum, y no puedes asistir por su coste, por favor, solicita el Programa de Scholar entre hoy y el 1 de agosto.

La Devcon es el lugar por excelencia para los constructores y colaboradores y también es una oportunidad para traer nuevas caras, lugares y comunidades enteras a la comunidad. Sin embargo, algunos constructores fundamentales en el ecosistema de Ethereum se enfrentan a obstáculos para asistir a la Devcon (monetarios o de otro tipo).

El Programa de Devcon Scholars proporciona un apoyo completo para hacer más accesible la Devcon a 50 personas que tienen el potencial de hacer un gran impacto en Ethereum y su comunidad, pero no pueden asistir sin ayuda, monetaria o de otro tipo. Los becarios recibirán entradas para la Devcon, financiación para el transporte, alojamiento, comidas y solicitud de visado. Antes de la Devcon y durante la semana de la misma, habrá reuniones en línea y en persona para que los becarios se conozcan, aprendan y se preparen para la mejor experiencia en Bogotá, Colombia.

Las postulaciones están ABIERTAS

El programa Devcon Scholars es para ti si crees que tu asistencia a la Devcon marcará la diferencia en el futuro de Ethereum. Queremos que la Devcon Bogotá sea un centro de innovación de Ethereum, y para que eso ocurra, necesitamos que los constructores más talentosos de nuestro ecosistema estén allí, independientemente de sus circunstancias.

Los solicitantes pueden ser de cualquier edad y ser capaces de comunicarse en inglés. Tanto si eres un constructor, empresario, líder de tu comunidad, periodista, profesor, investigador o estudiante, si crees que tu asistencia a la Devcon marcará la diferencia en el futuro de Ethereum, por favor haznos saber cómo piensas aprovechar la oportunidad llenando esta solicitud. La fecha límite para completarla es el 1 de agosto de 2022.
