Let’s not say that #xrp is built specifically to handle international remittances: The average time required to settle a single XRP transaction is between 3 to 5 seconds.
While these traditional banks and financial institutions take up between 3 to 5
days to complete similar cross-border transactions using the fastest means known
as ACH wire transfers. Let’s say these banks’ transaction hours daily round up to
around 8 hours, conservatively. It means a single XRP can transact 5000 times per
day – at an average transaction span of eight hours. Let’s say – again
conservatively – they do have billions of XRPs. This requires the price of XRP at
twelve trillion per one billion per five-kay which equals an approximate value of
$0,003. #bitcoin #cryptocurrency

Now, someone might ask about the inaccuracy of that analysis. Tell you what!
It really doesn’t work that way. I mean even if they used XRP to handle all of these
cross-border settlements, due to its many utilities such as a fast transaction
settlement speed – among others, given Ripple’s thought fulness it might not be a
one-to-one ratio with the circulating supply. However, it will probably help a lot
with the price: How much of that will help, we just have to find out.

The transaction which denoted the end of an 8-year selling spree of nearly 9
billion XRPs engaged in by the former Ripple founder which he started in the wake
of passing on Ripple Labs to help establish the payment protocol Stellar in 2014.
